League of Legends: Dota Rip off?

League of Legends is a dota style free to play MMO published by mobafire, offering a mass community with a world wide appeal. As many of the MMO gamers know, it is based on the whole Dota aspect however, with improved mechanics of the original. League of legends has been widely accepted by gamers to still be a unique MMO as it is free to play with epic champions. As we undergo this review, keep in mind that moba does fully support Dota and so the developers themselves have accepted League of Legends. Moba first introduced this game in 2007, during the release, much work had to be done, many champion balancing issues and interface glitches, however recieving support from the community allowed the game to stabalise. Other similar games that are Dota style is of course Heroes of Neweth which is slightly less popular than League of Legends.

Karma Online

Karma online is a 3D MMO FPS game made by joymax set in the WW2, which shows you an insight to WW2 guns, scenaries and real battle grounds. Joymax to start off is a reasonably popular company as they published Silk road which is a popular MMORPG. Since this was a relatively new game in 2011, I didn't think it would get popular in my opinion because what I would assume is that the genre it self is out dated or just not in fashion. For a free to play game, it offers many guns and costumes for free players, of course if you pay you would have a lot of benefits. I dont know the reason for releasing a WW2 style game but I noticed that some of the guns used was actually in Call of duty, this is where it all became clear. If you have played this thoroughly, you would notice that many aspects are from Call of duty, the aim down sight, sprinting, map creations and so on. I do not think they meant for me to compare it to a console game but it very much reminds me of it. Most of all I think Joymax has really out done themselves, as right now it is proving to be very popular at the moment. This game brings a classic feel to it but with upgraded graphics makes this game also new generation.

Gunz Online

Gunz is a game made by ijji offering a unique third person shooter with many maneuvers you can use. Gunz is moderately popular but still needs working on as it was released in 2003. Very unique game as you can show off your skills through acrobatics which is a nice touch, the selection in guns are quite diverse. Many pros playing this game especially when someone performs the "butterfly" which means they have fully grasped the gameplay and animation. I'd say this is a really competitive and fast paced gameplay giving people no mercy.

Grand Fantasia

Grand Fantasia is 3D MMORPG game made by Ariagames offering a game much like Fiesta Online where it shows many aspects of the game such as the monster desgins. I'm not entirely sure if the game is made by the same engine but in many ways Grand Fantasia is different. Showing another anime types graphics which is still getting increasingly popular. An overall effect on the game is quite childish and gives a good atmosphere, in fact the game itself encourages people to make friends so it is more sociable than most games with limited chat. I like many features of the game such as sprites which actually introduces the pet system in the beginning of the game. Personally I think that this game is a bit simplistic for more of a young group rather than teens because games like these are usually played by much younger people. This game to be honest does not appeal to me as it lacks depth and originality of the game.

Fiesta Online

A game made by Outspark and one if it's first games. Through extreme advertising Fiesta has made it big in the gaming industry. With in a months time, thousands of players were all over this playing like they have never played before. The few aspects of the game will be reviewed such as the gameplay and graphics and not so much the story as many MMORPG's don't tend to work on the story or maybe many of the audience are not interested.

Eudemons

Eudemons is a 2D MMORPG made by TQ which is quite a popular destinations for those who have low spec PC's. The gameplay offers quite a unique feature as the main concept is to collect summons for you. This game does not require an amazing hours of playing and then get bored but on the way you can collect eggs, get social which in my opinion is quite a friendly game.

Dofus

After certain changes to the game, Dofus has re-released the new features of the game and is currently being developed. As most of you gamers out there, this game is mainly for a younger audience however hardcore MMO gamers are welcome to try this game as well. It seems that Dofus needed to go through many changes, I'm wondering mainly because of many places being unable to fight monsters and the map itself is quite confusing. The main aspect that I find they still have not improved in is the introduction to the game. As I start to make a new character in the game, I find myself having trouble when trying to navigate around the map. Ankama is fairly an experienced company in developing games, therefore the changes should be good. Dofus seems to be full on when releasing updates to improve the content of the game. As some of you guys know, strategy is not exactly my way of playing, as a typical gamer, I feel the game lacks excitement and thrill which is needed to long appeal to any MMO's out there.

Dragonica Online

So let's start of by saying that Dragonica is a 2.5D side scroller fantasy rpg made by gpotato. In most cases I do not really make reviews for such game types as most side scrollers lack depth and the real sense of appeal. Gpotato to start off, is a very well known company as one of their games called Allods has won a joystick awards which is quite impressive for a free to play game, so this company is full on when it comes to publishing and developing a game. The side scroller is one of the few which I find quite limited in most games no matter how popular they are, in my opinion my ideal game is with a lot of depth to the story, gameplay and graphics. Needless to say Dragonica is an excellent game in its field and actually has some of the depth in the gameplay. As a beat 'em up hack'n slash game, the appeal is indeed very low as there is a lot of repitition in combat but certain alternatives of the objective can make it fun. Apart from Maplestory, it's the first time I have experienced playing a side scroller, and to compare this to Maplestory can make it really competetive so let's see what this game has in store for us.

Darkthrone

Dark Throne is a browser based game made by Lazarus Software offering a strategical and calm gameplay between offense, defence and stealth. The aim is to have the biggest yet most secure economy and army. As you can tell it requires about 10-20 minuites of gameplay as the amount of things you can do is based on the number of turns. Through extreme advertising I think Dark Throne is really on it's way to popularity in-terms of browser based games. I have played Dark Throne since the start and I do have to say it has improved by miles as it is more fair in terms of race and class. As most of you know I will rating this game out 10 based on gameplay and graphics.

Crystal Saga

Crystal Saga is a 2D dimensional MMORPG made by R2Games offering a browser based game which claims to be the best browser MMORPG, but how did they work that out? Since it is a browser game, I am guessing that the game is indeed limited to a certain point such as the main objective is to level up till you get to the PVP experiences. R2Games is a rather new company as of 2010 and they are quite new in the whole MMORPG industry but it looks like the have done their research. I do not know for certain that they are indeed the best MMORPG browser game because there are much more games more popular and successful than Crystal Saga. Crystal Saga is still moderately popular although many games in their beta stage would be popular. I would like to see how the development stage of this game would be. Though it is a browser based game, many people with lower end PC can enjoy this game as the requirements are not insanely high, as for audience, I would say that the much younger generation would play this game. They must have many excellent aspects of the game besides leveling for R2Games to claim that it is the best browser based game. As a reviewer, it is my opinion to decide whether it falls into the category of the "best".

Crossfire Made by Z8

A game by Z8 game comes by a first person shooter game with a counter strike feel to it. Since the release of Counter Strike, many games has used the source. I still think that this game, despite being a clone has many other unique types of gameplay. The types of gameplay are very typical of many shooters nowadays like:

- Team Deathmatch
- Free For All
- Search and destroy
There are others which Cross Fire has made their own.
- Ghost Mode
- Mutation Mode ( My Favourite)
- Elimination

Conquer Online

Conquer Online is made by TQ which in most their games implements the same sort of 2D graphics which is really something to remember the game by. Other MMO's just copies the exact source of graphics and claim their own but TQ is very unique. In this review I will be talking about the gameplay of Conquer Online and also the graphics. The whole concept of this game is to train and level every aspect of what your character can do. TQ games is a very unique game and I have been playing this game for quite a long time. Conquer Online got me addicted only becuase of the customisation of weapons I am able to use, there is actually so much freedom in this game when you get above level 20, you can pvp freely with a price.

Combat Arms

A FPS game made by Nexon offering an amazing 3D graphical game offering just the best enjoyable gameplay. Nexon has been known quite a while because of the amount of diverse guns which every FPS game needs. The variety in guns makes this game enjoyable to play. What I really like is that you can mod your weapons, for example you can attach a M16 with suppressor. Nexon itself is a successful company offering many free to play games such as Maplestory which is extremely popular in many countires. Combat Arms has been in many top mmofps lists and most of the time comes first. To develop an FPS game like this is absolutely insane as it is very popular. The server sometimes cannot keep up with the amount of players. In this review I will be writing about the gameplay and graphics of this game and the conclusion will be written through a rating of 10.

Bloodline Champions

Bloodline Champions is a top down arena based game made by Stunlock Studios which is quite new in the MMORPG world and as a first game, I think it will go a long way. Still a developing game introducing a DotA style of gameplay with many characters to unlock. As every game starts, there is always high benefits for paying members but apart from anything, really a great game. As for the graphics character desgins match the scenery which is good as it all comes in together. Bloodline Champions requires true skill in my opinion, as you have about 7 to 9 skills to tactically play. Well not to give away so much but here is the start of my review, as many of you know I will be rating this game out of 10 for gameplay and graphics.

BeGone

BeGone is an epic FPS browser based game developed by Nplay offering a blast from the past. Many shooters are being developed and so BeGone is one of those games which is continually being developed. Nplay as a game company is quite new considering they have actually published only 2 games in counting as of 2011. It seems that this company is heavily trying to succeed in browser gaming and if you have played this game before, it truly is surprising how detailed the quality of the game is. As my prediction of this company, I would guess that it will go very far with the detail of work that is going on. InvinciCar Online is another game that is developed by Nplay which provides similar graphics to BeGone. Since the graphics are the similar, I would say that the company seems to have a graphics engine, much like TQ Digital where the graphics are the same. This offers an intense gameplay which for a browser is amazing for its kind. The gameplay and graphics is really amazing considering it is a browser based game. One aspect of the game which I prefer is actually having logins to the game rather than just picking a name, it feels more like an arcade game.

Atlantica Online

Atlantica Online is a strategy MMO developed by Nexon offering a unique insight to online gaming and therefore has been popular. The idea of having a turn by turn final fantasy style game while hiring mercenaries is really unique. Nexon did not actually create this game as the company Ndoors actuallt sold it to Nexon, though I do not understand why because it is now extremely popular. For users who had an account in Ndoors can recover their account in the Nexon website which is good though most users would consider not to join Nexon as their reputation of security is poor. None the less, the game itself is excellent in what they have to offer. Nexon as a game developer is actually not bad considering the games they are still developing and who could ever deny Combat Arms to be an excellent game. The popularity of Combat Arms is what made Nexon really popular in my opinion. As you know, the game actually went international which brings a bigger audience of users. Atlantica actually brings real life locations for the users, and has some of the most popular land marks, of course you can choose where to start.

Ace Online

Ace Online is a free to play 3D Sci-fi MMO made by Subagames, offering an unique experience to new generation of mmo's as it involves an action packed plane simulator. As I first heard about this game, I assumed it was going to be stable because a flight simulator is not always "stable", I would expect there to be many glitches, but they proved me wrong. The general concept is actually quite unique in many ways, and so it is getting extremely popular. Subagames, as of 2011 is still a relatively new in the mmo industries but many other games such as Mission Against Terror(An FPS shooter) is very stable and popular. The Sci-fi theme is also getting extremely popular as you can have a lot of freedom to add space type scenarios. In terms of diversity in game, is relatively medium meaning most player have gone to high levels and therefore other place to train or already up to PVP. There are still many new users coming online giving this game a try.

Talisman Online

Talisman Online is a 3D MMORPG, World of Warcraft style gameplay published by Mira Castle and Mira Game. Mira has only so far one fully developed game which is Talisman Online. The game seems to have some elements of World of Warcraft, which typical in many other games such as Allods Online. Since this is the only game that is being offered by Mira, it ensures to have weekly updates and most of all security. Security in games is always being improved however so are the programs used for hacking. Talisman Online does have many other typical elements like many other MMO's out there. What's original about this game as it describes weapons as talismans, typically talismans hold some sort of power so classifying talismans as weapons is the reason why it is called Talisman Online. Battle of the immortals is also very similar to this in terms of the overview of gameplay. As many people quit from World of Warcraft, many people play other alternatives which is why this game is popular. Of course with many similarities, they have implemented many of their own ideas and I have to be honest, really unique.

Twelve Sky 2

Twelve Sky 2 is 3D MMORPG game made by aeria games which is a very reputable company. Developing many popular games such as the famous Dynasty Warriors online, Battlefield heroes and many more games including the partners they are with. As the general gameplay, it seems to have the old fashoned click-to-move, really out dated but some people rather have this interface. As for the general community, not that friendly to socialise with, better yet many people in each debate what national the server is, but infact it is international... aeria games has made many games with a lot of success, providing you some of the most unique games actually ever developed. Wolfteam and Dynasty Warriors online seems to be the only MMO's that stay in my head if I think of aeria games. Popularity with the game seems to be a problem as it shows the server is populated but locations that I am in, does not almost no one. As for the requirements, many MMO gamers can play this, below are the requirements which you can check, I'm sure even laptops can run it. Games like 9Dragons remind me of playing this game as some of the elements of the game is quite typical. The story is vaguely shown to characters if you are one of those users that play games for the story. Twelve Sky 2 introduces the times of melee weapons which include a spear, sword and others. As a reviewer, it is my job to say what the best aspects of this gane is and what parts should have been improved.
